Johnny Mango - In the Ohio City neighborhood (www.jmango.com) has great fresh food, made from local ingredients and awesome drinks, pretty cheap
Great Lakes Brewing Co. - Market District area (www.greatlakesbrewing.com) A little more expensive, but they brew their own beer. Food is so, so - beer is worth trying.
Winking Lizard - Downtown, has a large selection of beers, good selection of food. (www.winkinglizard.com)

Not sure what type of food you are looking for...but here are a few reasonably priced suggestions.
Panini's for outstanding deli sandwiches.
House of Blues for a bit of southern flair.
Flannery's for Irish Pub grub.

There is a Hard Rock Cafe downtown by Tower City. There menu is online and it isn't too bad price to get burgers or something like that. I kno0w you have one in the Detroit area but each Hard Rock has different memorabilia to see.
Tower City is also a mall area that has a food court.
Here is website for it. http://www.towercitycenter.com/info/dine.cfm?CurrCat=2138210220

Skyline Chili Restaurant they have the chili spaghetti and they are pretty cheap. I just say this on Travel Channel Anthony Bourdain, No Reservations. Also you may want to try Sokolowski's University Inn as well. If you go to foodnetwork.com and put in Cleveland, OH and then click on topics, it will take you to all of the places that they visited and there recommendations as well. Good Luck....
