just a comment to the lady who freaked out about the kid going to work. What makes you assume that she is putting her kid to work so she can take her money??? She does not mention anything like that in her question.There is nothing wrong with a 15 yr.old getting a job it builds character and teaches them a little responsiblity.So get a grip and chill out.

Your daughter needs to have a promise of a job and she takes that to her school counselor to get the permit. The permit comes from the school.

If you cannot make enough money to support yourself, then go back to school so you can make more money. Do not push your children to work and give you the money because that is selfish and lazy.

I am almost positive that when i had to get one (granted it has been some years) i had to go to the board of education

You can get one @ her school. She need to get the form take it to the employer. After filling it out & having them sign it. She needs to return it to the school.
